Help Us Celebrate National Dental Hygiene Month by Welcoming our Newest Hygienist Olivia!
October is National Dental Hygiene Month where dentists and organizations all over the country shine a light on the importance of good oral hygiene. Good oral hygiene can help prevent things like gum disease, cavities, bad breath, and more. While brushing and flossing are key to maintaining good oral heath, other things like diet, beverage choice and consistent dental care are important as well. Today we want to focus on one of the greatest things you can do to keep you mouth and body healthy: see your dental hygienist on a regular basis!
Why Dental Hygienists are Pivotal to Your Oral Health
Dental Hygienists are trained to help people better understand how their oral health and body are connected. They know how to spot early warning signs of disease, and can help patients better understand how the mouth and body are connected. In addition, a registered dental hygienist (RDH) skillfully removes plaque and tartar build up that can lead to cavities and gum disease. Hygienists are your first line of defense when it comes to oral cancer screening as well. If you are looking for a good dental hygienist that can help you maintain a healthy smile for life, look no further, we’ve got the perfect person for you!
